From OpenSource.com: InfoWorld's top picks in open source business applications, platforms, and middleware
"And the winners are... This week InfoWorld.com announced the winners of its Best of Open Source Software Awards, aka Bossies, which call out 120 top projects in seven categories. The article accompanying the awards takes a look at open source trends spotted this year, although notes that the tradition of sharing and cross-fertilization is pervasive in the winner's circle. It was cool to see that several of the open source applicants singled out by InfoWorld.com have also been highlighted on Opensource.com in recent months including Feng Office, Project Libre, and edX."
An additional highlight:
According to InfoWorld, "The xTuple project continues to evolve and innovate. The free open source community version, known as xTuple PostBooks, is fairly comprehensive and suitable for many small businesses. The open source commercial versions add premium functionality for manufacturers and distributors. Third-party add-ons and extensions are available through xTuple's app store. The project is currently phasing in a new mobile and Web client platform, which runs concurrently with the Qt GUI client. Based on Enyo, the new mobile/Web client will soon be available in the CRM modules, followed by the sales. The company has also announced integration with OrangeHRM."

About the Bossies
Each year, InfoWorld's Bossies (Best of Open Source Software awards) recognize the best open source software for business. The InfoWorld Test Center's central mission has always been to identify the most promising and cost-effective products available to IT organizations. Increasingly, those products — from application development tools to platforms and infrastructure software to CRM and ERP applications — come from the open source camp.
Selected by InfoWorld Test Center editors and reviewers, the first awards were announced in September 2007, given to 36 software applications across six categories. Today 120 awards are given across seven categories. Learn more at Infoworld.com.
