If you are using the Authorize.net service to process credit cards, you have probably received some notifications from them about some upcoming changes. The only change that affects xTuple users is the notice that "Authorize.net is now using Akamai to optimize [its] Internet traffic routing, which includes your merchants' transaction requests."
xTuple ERP (all Editions) has been updated to support this change, which takes effect on June 30, 2016. In order to continue to process credit cards through Authorize.net after this date, you will need to upgrade to xTuple version 4.9.5. (You may also upgrade to the latest, version 4.10.0, which will be available in June). But version 4.9.5 will be available next week — watch for a reminder message from us when it's ready.
As a reminder, the oldest commercially supported version of xTuple is 4.2.1 (see https://xtuple.com/eol-policy). You may also need to upgrade your PostgreSQL database if you're on an older version of xTuple (see https://www.xtuple.org/compatibility-matrix — we currently recommend PostgreSQL version 9.4 for all upgrades).
For Authorize.net customers hosted in the xTuple Cloud, we will work with you to provide this upgrade at no charge. This upgrade also falls under the services covered by the XTN Basic and Premium Business Continuity services. For all other customers, we will offer 25% off our standard professional services rates to carry out the needed upgrades.
