Fedora 23 goes into beta freeze next week, beta release on 22 September and final release on 27 October:
Ubuntu 15.10 (Wily Werewolf) has a final beta freeze on 24 September and a final release on 22 October:
I uploaded the v4.9.1 packages to Fedora and Debian (to propagate to Ubuntu) so v4.9.1 will most likely be in those distributions when they release in October.
If there are any final fixes (e.g. a 4.9.2 release) then I probably need to upload that within the next week or so to get it into the release cycle. They do accept later fixes as well but they are not keen on big version jumps at this stage in the release cycle.
