Multi-currency Specification

Specification is attached

When will your demo system be available at version 2?

We have UK VAT (sales tax) issues that are being addressed by your UK partner [specifically statutory invoice requirements when we ship within the UK but invoice off-shore] so look forward to seeing the solution demonstrated.

In case anyone’s wondering, the specification above was attached in our original forum system, and didn’t survive the transition to drupal. Ooops.

But, the good news is that multicurrency is now fully implemented in version 1.3.2, currently in beta testing, and will go live with customers in three countries next month.

We will formally announce the MC functionality as part of version 2.0, scheduled for late summer, as it will have benefitted from a few months of actual production usage.

We’re shooting for late September for a general release of version 2.0, and the demo will follow shortly after that - usually within a week.

Understood. Have you been in contact with them (Software Add-Ons)? We had a very productive working session with them and our first UK customer in July, defining the VAT requirements.

We have spoken to Software Add-ons. They were aware of the requirement and discussed a similar timescale.

Ned,

Any idea where I could find the specifications on how how MC was implemented in xTuple. The standard used?

I found *a* version of the old spec document in my email - not sure it was the final version, but at least it's something.
