I am in Postbooks trying to call the "docAttach" screen from another screen via scripting. After doing some research it looks like this screen (docAttach) is an xTuple custom widget (in the widget folder instead of guiclient folder in the SourceForge project). I found that I can't call this like I would another window using the toolbox.openWindow(....) command. Are these custom widget type screens not accessible via scripting??
The reason that I want access to this screen is so that I can make the process of attaching documents more automated. We want to have the packing slips and invoices that we print automatically (or at least much more easily) attach to the sales order that they belong with. Via scripting I could always populate the url table with the appropriate values minus being able to populate the url byte stream column, and I don't think that there is a toolbox function in scripting that will open a file and convert it to a byte stream so that it can be saved in the database.
If anyone knows how to do this I would love to know how.
