Add/deduct from inventory

Greetings,

How can I add/reduce quantities to an existing item in the inventory? eg. some items were not counted in the initial stock staking so how can I add them to the total count?
I tried with Inventory —> physical Inventory but it wont add it to the original number. It will just over-right the new quantities on the old quantities.
Eg initial stock count of hammer were 250. The we discovered a box with additional 10 hammers that wasn’t counted earlier.
If I use Count Slips or Misc Inventory count as 10, it will then change the entire quantity to 10 rather than show it as 260.

Regards
Shirin

Hello Shirin,

I believe what you are looking for is under Inventory > Transactions > Adjustment. You can select an item and then choose to either specify an absolute number (the behavior you are seeing with physical inventory, set it explicitly to X quantity) or a relative adjustment, which will allow you to add or subtract quantity from the existing count.
